Barcelona bakery explosion injures twenty-one people

A bakery just a few streets away from the La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona is reported to have experienced two explosions yesterday leaving twenty-one people injured.

The authorities believe that the explosions were caused by a gas leak. The first explosion is believed to have taken place around 7am, followed by a second smaller blast.

The fire and ambulance service were called to the scene, blocking the neighbourhood off until the smoke had died down. Most of those injured are reported to have been suffering from smoke inhalation.
