Sex trafficking ring in Ibiza shut down by police

Police have released seven young women who were held captive by a Romanian organisation. Three members of the sex trafficking network have been arrested.

It is alleged that the organisation tricked Romanian women into coming with them to Spain and then forced them to work as street prostitutes.

The young women were often from low social and economic backgrounds and were promised a better life from the organisation, who then monitored the women and took all of their earnings.
