Tomorrow, on Friday, September 8th, Hotel Lima will inaugurate its Lima Contemporánea series, which will run for 12 months and will have the pleasure of hosting various noteworthy visual artists.
Over the next twelve months, Hotel Lima’s facilities, from the lobby to the inner courtyard connecting to the restaurant, will showcase the works of twelve contemporary artists, both local and from the rest of Andalusia, promoting discovery, leisure, and collecting.
The artwork is by Manu Ferrón
Curated by multidisciplinary artist Paco Sanguino, exhibitions by Pepe Barroso, J. Antonio Chanivet, Miguel Ferrer, Juan Ángel González de la Calle, Lía García, Estella Kamazón, Liviana Leone, Paco Mármol, Débora Nótenson, Rosario Olarte, Fernández Pujol, and Paco Sanguino himself will expand the broad concept of hospitality to the interplay between artist, traveler, neighbor, and artistic discourse.
With this artistic series, Hotel Lima aims to celebrate and make beauty visible, encouraging encounter, contemplation, reflection, and the joy that the visual arts provide. And in this way, leave a lasting impression on every visitor, the kind that lasts forever.
PACO SANGUINO PREMIERES LIMA CONTEMPORÁNEA
This Friday, September 8th, marks the inauguration of Lima Contemporánea, which will be enjoyed by hotel guests, visitors, and Marbella residents alike.
Paco Sanguino is the artist who will kick off the series with the work “Neighbors and Street People,” where he brings together 17 figurative pieces created in oil on canvas and oil on paper over the course of 2022 and 2023. In these works, he reflects on the role of the individual in both intimate and shared spaces: the complex, inscrutable individuality, and collective life.
Drawing from real life, cinema, and photography as sources, he relies on his daily discoveries and strict discipline to stay true to the essential purpose of each project and convey his message free from ambiguity.
So, starting tomorrow, Hotel Lima awaits you to enjoy art and culture!
