The city of Alicante celebrates, starting today and ending on the 7th of May, the First Meeting of the Mediterranean Lifestyle, or Alicante Gastronómica, an event offering products from all around the province and lots of activities to be held at the IFA.
Whether you’re looking for the best ideas for Mediterranean diet; or for some local recipes to try at home; for some advice from renowned chef; or to see a spectacular cooking show; or if you need to find the best sources to buy products from the land and the sea – then Alicante Gastrónomica has got them all. More than 150 exhibitors will show the public and professionals of the sector different gastronomic specialties of the province, designations of origin, quality brands, products of the land, and other ecological and artisanal, as well as typical wines and beverages, equipment or services. Among the activities, there will be workshops for school children, tastings and product sales, demonstrations and cooking show.
A few days full of activities with a total of 16 Michelin stars and numerous Repsol suns present at the meeting.

On Saturday, don’t miss the Made in Costa Blanca series of author cuisine, as well as interesting workshops focusing upon the local ingredients and the regional recipes, where you can learn how to prepare cocas al estilo de la Marina Alta (dough in the Marina Alta style) or healthy and savory dishes using only vegetables.
The hours are from 11 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. on Friday 4, Saturday 5, Sunday 6, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday 7. Admission is free with Free Admission for the general public.
