The Soqueta restaurant has been attracting customers over the last 32 years for their fresh-seafood dishes and privileged location by the sea.
The restaurant began in 1985 as a family business in Oliva, Valencia. Since then, it has become a popular ‘go-to’ place for customers to dine on locally-caught seafood, and traditional rice dishes.
Now, the family restaurant has been passed down to the second generation, and now manager, Juan, says that mix of the fresh seafood as well as the proximity one of Costa Blanca’s sandy beaches makes this restaurant stand out.
For just 45 euros, you can enjoy the “menú del día” which includes a three-course meal, with a selection of fresh fish, traditional rice dishes and homemade desserts. Soqueta also has a variety of Spanish wines to choose from.
The restaurant’s speciality dishes are freshly caught along the coast of Dénia, Gandia and Valencia, which includes; prawns, clam, oyster, bass and more.
The restaurant is elegantly laid out, and just like the surrounding area, provides a relaxing, tranquil environment that will help you escape the hustle and bustle of the near-by bigger towns and cities.
The staff are used to international customers and can speak English and French, as well as Spanish. The restaurant receives many national (and also as international customers in holiday seasons) who come for the restaurant’s traditional dishes, and offers true Spanish gastronomic delights.
