Coming this Sunday 23rd October is the Big heart of Javea fundraiser in Via Augusta for the Bomberos, Protection Civil, and Red Cross.
They are expecting 100 classic cars, some of which will provide rides for charitable donations. This will be a serious concentration of classic cars, with many clubs from all around coming together to put on a spectacular show. The target is 100 cars, but they may do better than that.
Starting from Scallops at around 11.30am there will be a spectacular parade of Motorcycles led by 60-70 Harleys along the Arenal past the Parador, through the port to the Barco, then left into Via Augusta, where they will park. Twenty-five will be picked out to be judged by the public, to raise money! There may be as many as 100 motorcycles, and the parade will be a spectacle in its own right.
Food and drink will be on site, from breakfast at 10 am, to Tortillas, Paellas and Burgers. At noon three blues bands start their sets, ending up in the afternoon with maybe 15 musicians on stage having a full on blues jam session. After lunch, the hog roast will be available, and no that is not a Harley! They are a little bit hard on the teeth and often oily! (Harleys are sometimes known as Hogs by the way). That was a John Le-Suer quote – not mine!
There will be lots going on to occupy the children too, such as a bouncy castles and face painting. Something for absolutely everyone.
The event is fully supported by Javea Adjuntamiento and Javea Hostelries are also showing their support by providing some of the stands for the food and drink.
DON’T miss it!
This will be a spectacular event involving more than 200 exhibitors in the hope of raising a whole HEAP of money.
See you ALL There!
