We sat down with Iván Muñoz, the Sales and Marketing Director at RGZ Developers, to talk about the mindset behind one of Marbella’s most exciting boutique property developers. With over 25 years of experience in real estate, marketing, and international expansion, Iván has worked across four continents and more than 15 countries. He now brings that global outlook to one of Europe’s most dynamic luxury markets.
“It’s really useful to have worked all over the world,” Iván told us. “Here in Marbella, you’re dealing with clients from Northern Europe, the UK, Central Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. I’ve worked in all those regions, and that’s helped a lot with cross-cultural communication. You need to understand what they want from the beginning, and how they do business differently.”

We look at what’s happening globally in products aimed at high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals,” Iván explained. “Marbella is a small but slow and sophisticated market, so we adapt our strategy carefully.”

Despite Marbella’s competitive edge, Iván sees the real estate community as more collaborative than cutthroat. “We work very closely with real estate players in Marbella, from real estate agencies to investors. It’s a small world here. We’re friends, and our collaborations and partnerships are always beneficial to all parties”, he said. “We all know the market well, and we all want to see quality succeed. There’s a lot of communication and respect.”
