Spain’s women’s football team just missed out on the semi-finals of the European Championships after they lost in the penalty shootouts.
Austria will now face Denmark in the 2017 finals, after they beat Spain 5-3 in the penalties, after the game ended 0-0.
Spain did not score for three matches after their opening fixture, although they dominated possession of the ball and were favourites to progress.
Austria have been the surprise of these Euros, after having topped a group featuring France, the world’s third-best side.
England however, is still going strong, and is now set to face the Netherlands after beating France 1-0.
The results for the matches on Sunday the 30th of July:
Germany Women 1 – 2 Denmark Women
Austria Women 0 – 0 Spain Women
England Women 1 – 0 France Women

Denmark vs Austria
And Netherlands vs England
