An original concept blending delicate fragrances and dessert specialties into a state of the art visual composition, the Perfume Essence involves all of your senses.
Tosca Restaurant opened in 2006. It has an amazing terrace from where you can enjoy the great sun of late Autumn by the Mediterranean Sea, as well as unique views of the bay and the beach. Also, their cosy interior, decorated with tosca, the typical lime stone of the area, mixed with solid wood and modern designs, gives a feeling of calmness and wellbeing.
One of the most spectacular desserts of Tosca Restaurant, the Perfume Essence comes as a surprise, in the shape of a White Chocolate Sphere that opens to reveal Bergamot Sabayon, Violets Meringue and Mint Ice Cream, all decorated with edible plants that create beautiful contrasts of colours.
The Perfume Essence does use two of the most important flowers in fragrance industry, namely the bergamot and the violet. Widely used in perfumery for its ability to combine with an array of scents, bergamot is, for instance, a major component of the original Eau de Cologne composed by Farina at the beginning of the 18th century, in Germany. Also, but in terms of taste, this time, bergamot is what gives the particular aroma to the Earl Grey and Lady Grey teas.
The violet, a native of the Mediterranean area, is known for its very delicate, sweet floral scent and appears as star note in many of the most appreciated perfumes of all times. Also, the sweet violet is an edible flower.
The complete menu of Tosca Restaurant includes, among their specialties, fresh local fish oven cooked with salt, Chateaubriand or t-bone steak cooked on stone and the home made Duck Mit-cuit. There is a daily lunch menu available, as well. They also serve more than 100 types of Spanish and international wines.
