The Marina Alta province of Alicante already has a lot to boast with its striking countryside and coastline views, but just tucked away from the chaos of cities or coastal towns, is the unique and spectacularly-located Vall de Cavall.
In the heart of Valle de Gata (in-between Teulada and Gata de Gorgos), this exclusive restaurant is set in the grounds of one of the largest horse stables in Spain, and gives you the chance to eat among the nature, with views over-looking Montgó, vineyards and the outdoor swimming pool.
The combination of the restaurant’s cuisine and scenery, offers nothing less than “lujo” (luxury) and relaxation. The restaurant provides its own speciality dishes, including; grilled or stone-cooked meats, and seasonal, fresh food all year round. The restaurant also provides international dishes, as well as creative, avant-garde meals and a large selection of national and international wines.
Along with the food, another speciality of the restaurant is its history. The “Valley of Horses” (the Vall de Cavall in English) was set up by long-distance horse riding champion: Peter Bastijns, from Belgium. This facility is also used as a hotel, and a guest stable, where Peter takes care of, and even rides, up to 60 horses taken there by other riders.
The natural, rustic setting of the area nicely contrasts the elegant and comfortable ambiance of the interior. The venue is suited for families, and has a children’s play area. The Vall de Cavall could also be a perfect venue for special occasions, and is available to hire by request.
