Her son, Mark Cunningham, a successful businessman who has spent more than forty years in Tokyo, has taken on the responsibility of guiding the agency forward. Though he continues to divide his time between Japan and Spain, his commitment to preserving and developing the business is unwavering.

“We are a family company, and everything we do is built on the foundations my mother created,” Mark explained when we spoke. “Jennifer was passionate about her clients, about making sure they were looked after, and that will never change. My role now is to build on that and take the company into the future.”

A Team Committed to Clients

One of the greatest strengths of the company today is its people. The original team who worked alongside Jennifer are still in place, bringing continuity and reassurance for clients who have trusted them for years. There is a dedicated claims department that ensures problems are resolved quickly, and a renewal team that provides ongoing support. Expansion, however, will not come at the cost of the company’s values. “This business has always been about people first. We want to grow, yes, but never lose that personal connection. That is what made my mother so loved in this community, and it is what will keep us moving forward.”

Continuing the Spirit of Giving

Jennifer was also deeply committed to the wider community. After losing her son Paul, she founded the Paul Cunningham Nurses charity, which continues to provide hospice and nursing support in Spain. Mark has now taken over its management, ensuring that her dedication to helping others remains central.

“The charity was my mother’s way of giving back, and it is a responsibility I take very seriously,” Mark reflected. “It keeps her memory alive in a very real way, and it shows that our family’s commitment to this community is about much more than business.”

The Next Chapter

It is shaped by the determination of its founder, maintained by a loyal team, and guided by a son who brings international experience and a strong sense of duty.
