Do You need a hotel break? Spoil yourself by taking a step back in time to discover a taste of Rome, in Spain.
At the heart of Mallorca’s historic Alcúdia Old Town, breathtaking style is set in dramatic stone at Hotel Can Mostatxins. Built inside a 15th-century olive-oil presser, the hotel makes a stunning feature of its original mason-built walls. Each of its eight rooms are seeped in history – along with the dramatic setting for its grotto-like courtyard and Jacuzzi (pictured).

Worth getting out of bed for
Start your day on top of the world, or at least the Roman wall surrounding tiny Alcudia. On Tuesdays and Sundays, the town hosts a grand market packed with seemingly unending stalls groaning with cured meats, fresh produce, leather goods and Spanish clothing. When you’ve completed the town tour, potter off down to the beaches. Playa de Alcudia, is a 10-minute stroll away, and offers clear, calm waters and soft sands. The shallow waters make for excellent snorkeling and stand-up paddle boarding, and there are lounge chairs and umbrellas for hire if needed.
