On September 28, 2024, The Fusion Art Gallery in Marbella hosted a spectacular evening for the world premiere of the “Luminous Art Magic” exhibition. Running until October 18, this groundbreaking show features the innovative work of Lina Yakobi, introducing her patented “Yakobi Method,” which allows artwork to display two distinct images depending on whether they are viewed in light or darkness.

The night was filled with magic, not just through Yakobi’s mesmerizing art, but also through the extraordinary atmosphere that enveloped the gallery. Attendees were welcomed into a world of light, color, and creativity. Yakobi’s pieces shone brilliantly in the dark, while live performances throughout the evening deepened the experience of art and innovation. Music, violinists, and live acts were woven together to create a multisensory event that captivated all who attended.
A Captivating Exhibition
With over 40 new works on display, Yakobi’s creations took center stage, offering viewers a visual journey through light, darkness, and augmented reality. Her method is unlike any other, inviting the audience to discover hidden dimensions within the artwork. A hidden image is revealed when the lights go out, and a third dimension is uncovered through augmented reality by scanning a QR code.

“This is not just art to be observed – it’s art to be interacted with. It’s an experience,” said Johan Grundin, the gallery’s owner and founder, during the evening’s remarks.
Featured Artists
In addition to Lina Yakobi, the exhibition showcased the talents of several other prominent artists, creating a rich diversity of styles and expressions. Artists such as Julie Wynn, Taraneh Sjostrom, Antonio Casares, and Johan Grundin contributed to a dynamic and multifaceted display, where every piece offered something unique to the audience.

A Crowd of Art Collectors and Enthusiasts
The opening event drew art lovers from across Costa del Sol, as well as international guests. The gallery quickly filled with a blend of collectors, influencers, and guests who came to experience the magical atmosphere. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres were served as guests explored the gallery, engaging in conversation with the artists themselves.

Looking Ahead
“We’re excited to continue growing and developing our concept here at The Fusion Art Gallery,” Johan Grundin said in his welcome speech. He also mentioned that the exhibition will run for three weeks, with additional private viewings planned for those who want to explore the art in more depth.

With this grand opening, The Fusion Art Gallery solidified its place as a hub for innovative and groundbreaking art in Marbella. The “Luminous Art Magic” exhibition is more than just a display of artwork – it’s an immersive experience that captivates, inspires, and challenges what we think we know about art and its boundaries.
The exhibition runs until October 18, and the gallery invites all art lovers to book a private viewing to fully immerse themselves in this magical event.
